The 7th HRD Conference 2008 will be held in Dammam on May 17-19, 2008, under the patronage of Prince Muhammad Bin Fahd, Governor of Eastern Province.
The conference is being organized by Asharqia Chamber, Saudi Electricity Company and Arabian Society For Human Resource Management (ASHRM). Leading speakers from the Kingdom and abroad will address the conference.
The conference will discuss transforming HR for a strategic partnership with the business units; the role of HR in managing corporate change; leader’s Role in fostering a productive and motivating working environment; defining HR competencies and evolving HR function; measuring the effectiveness of HR; and building a future generation of leaders.
The speakers will elaborate on how human resource function needs to undergo a major paradigm shift to build an effective and trustworthy relationship with the various business units in the organization, a relationship that is based on a strategic partnership the value of which is clearly seen and appreciated by the organization.
They will also discuss the importance of building a future generation of leaders. The experts will explore the emerging methodologies for identifying and developing future leaders. To sustain their effectiveness and growth, organizations need to institute the proper methodologies and programs to ensure the continuous availability of the right leaders to move the organization forward.
The event will take place at Asharqia Chamber, Dammam-Khobar Highway.
